"AM Fight Club has changed my life! I started going to Julie's early morning workout class about five years ago. The energy level and variety of her program had me hooked after just a couple weeks, and I have stuck with her exercise regime ever since.

"In October 2001, I had just completed an aerobics class (2 day/week for 6 weeks) and was doing some weight training for muscle tone. My walking companion had moved out of state and I was looking for a fitness program near my home. Luckily for me, I was invited by Julie Diver to participate in her physical fitness program. Julie's workouts begin at 5:30 a.m. This time is perfect for me. I can workout, return home, shower, et al and be to work in Ann Arbor by 8:30 a.m. I feel great! I workout Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at Julie's, and on my own the other days, riding bike, walking, swimming, sporadic running, or working out at health centers while on the road. Julie's training which covers a combination of aerobics, kick boxing, yoga and more recently, pilates, gives me confidence, keeps me walking straight, thinking thin, and mentally alert. "I am so pleased with attending 3 sessions per week. I've gained stamina and balance and lost inches from head to toe. I feel much more confident and alive. In January 2004 I worked all day cleaning and was suffering menopausal hot flashes. I Decided to run outside through the snow to the end of the yard and back. Not a good choice- It was the coldest day of the winter, temperatures were below zero- I fell and was out in the freezing cold weather for A long time before my husband found me. The next memory I had was my husband and brother looking over me. I remember the blanket was hot and seeing them cry. The reason I am telling this story is that I had third degree burns from the knees down and the hands up to my elbows. I lost most of my two big toes and two fingers on my left hand. It took months of physical and talk therapy to get my inner self back. I was so over whelmed with shame and grief. One of my friends told me about Julie's pilates - I wanted to go but was ashamed of my body- and god forbid other people see my feet. I started out wearing socks- then it was suggested to not wear them it would help my balance. This small step added self-acceptance. I now attend the kickboxing class also. Now I can't miss it- I build my schedule around these workouts. Julie and Kim have given years to this beautiful art- Their commitment always shines through. I feel blessed to know them, their program has helped me to accept myself, mind, body and gave me back a stronger spirit. I believe you can achieve positive results in your life too. "I have been attending Julie and Kim's class for about 4 years. It is the most intense and the most fun workout I have experienced. My life was rolling along well when I was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2004. I never smoked and always stayed in shape so it was a big shock. I had 2 surgeries and chemotherapy.
